Support For Moxey McCarthy

McCarthy branded as "idiotic" fans who chanted "you do not know" and "you get fired in the morning" with him during the weekend draw with Swansea City.

But Moxey confirmed his belief in the former boss of Ireland Programme Day club before Wednesday's 5-2 defeat Carling Cup at home to Manchester City.

He said: "We are aware of the frustration and disappointment of the fans in the wake of recent results.

"But we all trust in Mick and businesses, and in the last five years, have emphatically.

"Therefore, it remains" business as usual "and continue to hope and optimism to build a spectacular return on Saturday.

"Changes to Mick on Saturday, and is often the case with their substitutions, so a positive outcome that we have come back to make a point."

more difficult

Moxey respects the right of fans to express their opinions, but he believes that the media could have a negative adverse effect on the team.

He said: "Sometimes, the mood in the crowd puts pressure on the home team and can affect players' confidence and performance.

"Nobody wants to stifle the passion of our fans back the team and has helped many of our successes we've had in Mick.

"It's always easier to support a team and get behind them when things go well, but much more difficult when the team goes through a kind of struggle.

"In an ideal world, it is best to support the team for 90 minutes, and then - if the fans believe it is necessary -. To make known their feelings after the final whistle"
