Stan Kroenke shareholder said the English Premier League giants Arsenal has "all the elements for success," including a "wonderful manager" in Arsene Wenger.
Headquartered in Denver sports mogul, who joined Arsenal in 2008, before the government seized a majority stake earlier this year, made some public statements regarding his vision for the club appear Thursday before the meeting Stadium.Kroenke Emirates, whose empire includes the main advantages of the Denver Nuggets and the Rams in St. Louis, spoke transparent to shareholders, explaining the reasons for its investment, and outlines his plans for a stay "a wonderful club" for long time.
"We're very involved in sport in the United States and had many opportunities to participate in many clubs in Europe and in the [English] Premier League," said Kroenke. "We've had an interest but as we engage with Arsenal in a business in Denver, I want more. Arsenal has all the elements they need to succeed in these cases."
Kroenke said: "[the club] is a huge advantage at the top, a wonderful leader in the field that takes the most important decisions of staff and a huge following of supporters. All these are in place, it was an easy decision for us to get more involved. We are pleased to be here, I'm happy with the direction of the club and in the long run. We love London, you better get used to seeing us, because we'll be around.
"In the field, Arsenal have recovered from the form, after a terrible start the new season and a place in the quarter-finals of the Carling Cup and win the seventh week in the last eight games.
Despite the celebration of 15 years as Arsenal manager this season, Wenger has been one of the most difficult periods of employment in recent months, but he insisted on meeting the fans should not lose their faith.
"If you want to stay on top, high-level, we must remain united," said Wenger. "This does not mean you can not judge, or retirement - -. But we accept that we have to show the outside If you have not, so you do not have a chance."
