Blackburn are looking to recover from a disappointing weekend when they receive their Carling Cup campaign underway against Norwich.
Rovers, which suffered a 2-1 defeat at Birmingham Premier League on Saturday after their victory against Everton opening, try to recover from Championship rivals at Ewood Park on Tuesday night.
A resounding 4-1 win at Gillingham earlier this month ended in the Canary Islands, the transition to the second round, and Paul Lambert hopes that the other side of the shape of their journey north.

Sam Allardyce is set to ring the changes on its side for the clash at home with Saturday's game against Arsenal in mind.
However, Rovers boss' options are limited lesions Vince Grella, Pascal Chimbonda, Keith Andrews and David Dunn.
The four players are unlikely to appear in the confrontation with suggesting that Allardyce could make some of the younger members of his squad.
"Half is a great experience, but there are some of the younger people involved," said Allardyce Rovers official website '.
"We hope the game, I think is a very good game.
"Their focus on the championship and secure their position to receive a promotion, but they want to come and enjoy and get a decent scalp if we can.
"We must try to avoid this and be as professional as they were last year at Gillingham, when he won the match comfortably."
Norwich team news
Lambert will also make changes to the meeting, including a defense force, with Michael Nelson ruled out due to ankle injury and will be hard work.
Cap the blow suffered during Saturday's win 2-0 in the Championship Swansea and will have a scan of the lesion to assess the damage.
Nelson was replaced by Jens Berthel Askou in stoppage time over the weekend and the Dane is a serious candidate for the stage Tuesday night with Zak Whitbread is not yet available.
"Nelson comes out tomorrow - we do not yet know the extent of damage," Lambert told the official site in the Canary Islands.
"Other teams will look good and I make some changes. Each has its role and all are as important as the other."
Lambert also said he could call Simon Lappin midfielders and a new recruit, David Fox begins his first season.
He added: "Simon and Fox had the misfortune not to start, but at least I know they are really close to him, for sure."
