Stan Kroenke's majority shareholder, said the English Premier League giant Arsenal are "all the elements of success," as "a great manager," Arsene Wenger.
The Denver-based sports tycoon, who joined the board of Arsenal in 2008, before seizing a majority stake earlier this year, made some public statements about his vision for the club before they appear on Thursday the annual general meeting at the Emirates Stadium.
Kroenke, whose empire includes significant holdings in the Nuggets in Denver and St. Louis Rams, spoke openly of their shareholders, explain the reasons for their investment and outlining his plans to stay with the "big club" for a long time.
"We're very involved in sport in the United States and had many opportunities to participate in many clubs in Europe and in the [English] Premier League," said Kroenke. "We've had an interest but as we engage with Arsenal in a business in Denver, I want more. Arsenal has all the elements they need to succeed in these cases."
Kroenke said: "[The club] has a tremendous top management, a wonderful manager in the field who took important decisions on staff and a large following among fans. With all these things in place, was an easy decision for us to get more participation. We are very pleased to be here, are happy with the direction of the club and are here for the long term. We love London, you better get used to us because we will be about. "
In the field, Arsenal have recovered from the form, after a terrible start to the new season and a place in the quarter-final and the Carling Cup win this seventh week in the last eight games.
Despite the celebration of 15 years as coach of Arsenal this season, Wenger has been one of the most testing spells out its mandate in recent months, but insisted at the AGM that fans should not lose their faith.
"To stay on top, high-level we must stand together," said Wenger. "This does not mean I'm not being critical, or the board - we accept that - but we have to show the Outside, we are united, if you're not, then you have no chance. ".
