Dalglish Celebrates Suarez

The Uruguayan shot at Liverpool in the quarter-finals of the Carling Cup with a 2-1 win against Stoke manager Dalglish left singing its praises.

With the Reds behind a Kenwyne Jones header just before the break, Suarez nutmegged Ryan Shotton and then curled a beauty in the corner on 54 minutes before the winner five minutes from time.

And Dalglish said of his early winner of the match: "I ran out of words to describe it after a week when he came to our place, it was a fantastic goal, but I do not think anyone could have s' expect him to score with a tap ..

"It was a lot of chances and if he had taken before he could have been a little more comfortable for us, but it was worth the wait."

Liverpool had already tasted defeat at Stoke City this season, lost 1-0 to a penalty of Jon Walters in the Barclays Premier League in September, and they returned again with a goal of their own making.

Dalglish said: "Whoever wins the important, but I think the important thing is that we hung in there.

"The first time I think we lost six occasions that you have accustomed us to put aside, at least one or two of them anyway, but received one in the front.

"In the second half of the boys dug deep, defended really well, the little man scored a fantastic goal, and then a good head too.

"It was important that we stopped some of the football we played, especially in the last two games."
