Capello Tips Rooney Euro 2012 Is Linked

Capello has not spoken to Manchester United striker Rooney was given a three-match ban by UEFA for his red card in Montenegro earlier this month.

Although it is yet to decide whether to launch the Football Association appealed the suspension, its current form, Rooney should be excluded from the entire group stage of the competition in Poland and Ukraine.

The general view among practitioners is that Rooney should go, even if, as Sir Alex Ferguson said emphatically, Monday, Britain can not even qualify for the knockout stages, so that the member of 25 years who are not team players Capello.

But speaking of Wembley Club hosted a breakfast at Wembley, Capello said Rooney would have done as part of its plans to strike a balance between the old and the youngest player on his team.

"Young people are really good and ready to play for the elderly, pensioners and the experience is very important," said Capello.

"During the championships, we need leaders, people who know something.

"Jack Wilshere is incredible, because he is very young. We also have the experience of John Terry, Rio Ferdinand and Scott Parker.

"You need that kind of player, and Rooney, I hope."

Ferdinand can also be pleased to receive a name check after he was omitted from the team for the final qualification for Euro 2012 against Montenegro.

But Rooney, more than any other player who has the ability to raise England to the next level and hit the goal trail last night, two penalties in the Champions League defeat Otelul Galati Italy, which took the game at 11

Phil Jones and Chris Smalling were two of Rooney's teammates last night, part of a group of young Britons who have emerged in recent months to give new hope for the future.

Capello does not want to pile too many expectations on his shoulders now.

But he thinks that the overall balance of the team is much better than when it took nearly four years.

"I'm very happy with my players," he said. "I have great confidence.

"Not many young players in the world that are better than English.

"But we must wait until the end of the season to understand if they are minors. Back and ready to play with older people

"We had a gap between the old and the youth of today, with the likes of Wilshere, Jones (Danny) Welbeck, (Daniel) Sturridge -. It is really interesting.

"It 'a very good team for the next million."

However, the key to England's chances of success will be in preparation.

Before the World Cup in South Africa, Capello had his players to a training camp in Austria for 10 days.

England then had another 10 days in one of South Africa before their opening match.

Capello's instinct is to halve the time next summer, when it was suggested that England will be based in a hotel in central Krakow, rather than a remote location as their Rustenburg HQ last year.

"Players Championship arrived very tired," said Capello.

"In friendly matches before traveling to South Africa, we won, but did not play well, like the games I've played to qualify.

"The players were not so fast, not so good. We need to change something at the end of the period to prepare euros.

"I'm staying with players 10 days before the start of the single currency."

There is a gap of three weeks between the Champions League final in Munich on May 19 and the opening match of the Championship of Europe on 8 June, almost four in the final game of the Premier League season on May 13

And it's time for Capello's view of the most important was what he expects most of his team was going through in the coming months.

"It's very important to rest players after the season because the season in England is very strong," he said.

"This year will be stronger than last year because there will be a competition between five or six teams to qualify for the Champions League.

"I also hope that some teams play in the finals of the Champions League and other UEFA competitions.

"But if we rested we will be competitive."
